David was the second king of Israel and he lived from approximately 1040-970 BC. In this prayer, David cries out in despair, prays for deliverance from his troubles, and ends with praising God’s mercy and redemption. But, most importantly, it is a clear prediction of the crucifixion of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Consider how Jesus fulfilled this prophesy.
